We engaged Kahlen-Carey Homes to build our magnificent home in January of 2008. In July of 2008, we moved into a spectacular house that exceeded our expectations. My husband and I had been looking for a new home for about two years prior to finding Kahlen-Carey. We looked at resale and new-builds, but nothing suited all of our needs and aesthetic inclinations. Kahlen-Carey allowed us to work directly with its architect to “tweak” Kahlen-Carey’s plans in order to accommodate our unique requirements and preferences. Through the entire build-process, Kahlen-Carey’s staff were cooperative, and often worked around our schedules in order to accommodate us for meetings. Kahlen-Carey advised us honestly and well when it came to choosing various amenities and upgrades. It allowed us to source some of our own products if its suppliers could not provide us with a particular item that we wanted, and always offered us a fair price. In terms of creativity and innovation in design, Kahlen-Carey is exceptional. We never heard the word “no” when we asked if something could be built. Kahlen-Carey, and in particular, Ryan Carey, offered suggestions and solutions through the entire process on everything from overall architecture to flooring angles to camouflaging bulkheads. I would be remiss if I did not mention Kahlen-Carey’s site supervisor, Tyler Heimpel, who was instrumental in communicating with us regularly, and assisting in making the build process stress-free. Aside from the phenomenal service that we received throughout the build-process, the after-care was equally superb. We received our lawn within days of moving in! Minor deficiencies remaining after closing were never a subject of debate. Instead items we identified were completed within weeks, no questions asked. If we didn’t love this house so much, we would most definitely build again with Ryan Carey and his staff.
